Weather policy

We never sail when the weather isn't safe. Here's how we handle cancellations, rebookings, and refunds when the Arctic decides we're staying home.

Free Weather Rebooking

If we cancel a tour due to weather conditions, you will never be charged. We will rebook you to the next available departure, or provide a full refund if your travel plans do not allow for rescheduling. The decision to cancel is made by us, and we always take a conservative approach. The fjord does not reward optimism.

When Is the Decision Made?

We confirm whether a tour will operate at least 2 hours before departure, and often earlier. You will receive a notification via the email address or phone number provided when booking. If you have not heard from us, you can assume the tour is operating as scheduled.

Guest Cancellations

  • Less than 3 hours before departure: 100% of the tour price will be charged.
  • 3–24 hours before departure: 80% of the tour price will be charged.
  • 1–7 days before departure: 50% of the tour price will be charged.
  • More than 7 days before departure: Free cancellation.
