We operate in the Arctic throughout the changing seasons of the year. During summer, our focus is mainly on experiences at sea, including Icefjord cruises, whale watching, glacier tours, and private boat charters. During winter, we focus primarily on land-based activities such as snowmobile tours, dog sledding, ice fishing, and other Arctic winter adventures. Our transportation services for visitors and cruise ship guests operate year-round.
For us, sustainability is not about making grand promises. It is about operating responsibly in the place we call home. All of our tours include transportation, ensuring a simple and comfortable experience for our guests from start to finish.
We have a deep respect for the nature we grew up in. It is the landscape where we spent our childhood, learned from our families, hunted, fished, and created memories that stay with us throughout our lives. We believe local knowledge and experience are the right way to operate here in our home, both on the water and on the land.
When we approach whales, we reduce our speed and switch off the engine whenever possible, allowing the animals to behave naturally with minimal disturbance. We also believe in making respectful use of local resources. Fish caught during our fishing trips are never wasted. Any catch not taken home by guests is used locally, including as food for our sled dogs.
Our dogs are an important part of Greenlandic culture and everyday life. They are not simply part of our winter activities – they are part of our families and are cared for throughout the entire year.
Even as the world changes, we will always do our best to protect the land we call home and the nature that surrounds us. We experience the changes taking place in the Arctic ourselves, including changes in weather and nature that affect both daily life and the activities we depend on. For this reason, we believe that respect for nature and responsible use of its resources are more important than ever.
As a locally owned and operated company, we want to share the Arctic in a respectful way and help ensure that future generations can experience the same nature and traditions that we have been fortunate enough to grow up with. We hope to pass this knowledge on to our own children and grandchildren, just as our parents and grandparents passed it on to us. What we have learned from the land, the sea, and the changing seasons is part of who we are, and we believe this knowledge should continue to live on through future generations.
